Developed following the 1st West African Summit on Organic Agriculture (November 2008, FUNAAB), this curriculum addresses the shortage of skilled manpower to teach and research organic agriculture in West Africa. It covers Crops and Soil, Livestock Production and Health, Aquaculture, Food Handling and Safety, Environmental Resources Management, Agricultural Economics, and Agricultural Extension — drawn from a survey of 24 universities across Nigeria, Sierra Leone, and Benin Republic. Funded by the Association of African Universities (AAU).
